Description
The Minnesota Department of Health’s Office of Rural Health and Primary Care administers this program to help eligible organizations plan, establish, or operate clinical services for people with low incomes or living in rural Minnesota. Eligible services include preventive, medical, dental, and mental health primary care; a clinic may provide one or more of these services.
For fiscal year 2027, funding focuses on increasing or maintaining access to care for uninsured and underinsured patients. Projects may support service delivery, mobile or school-based services, equipment, care-delivery improvements, or systems such as electronic health records. Projects serving uninsured patients receive preference.
