Description
The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) administers CDBG Economic Development funding for loans to businesses and infrastructure construction undertaken for economic development purposes. The opportunity is part of the federal Community Development Block Grant program, funded annually by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
CDBG supports community and economic development projects that encourage additional federal, state, and private investment, provide a suitable living environment, and expand economic opportunities. Economic Development projects must connect their business or infrastructure activities to a CDBG national objective: benefiting low- and moderate-income persons, preventing or eliminating slums or blight, or addressing urgent community needs, including catastrophic health and safety threats.
