Description
The New York State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, administered by Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) through its Office of Community Renewal (OCR), provides federal funding to eligible local governments to address the needs of low- and moderate-income communities. Funding supports a wide range of community development activities, including infrastructure improvements, housing rehabilitation, and other projects that benefit LMI residents. The 2026 Housing Activities round targets non-entitlement cities, towns, villages, and counties for projects that preserve affordable housing, improve health and safety, increase energy efficiency, and strengthen neighborhoods.
