Description
Business Oregon’s Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) program provides grants and technical assistance to develop livable communities for people with low and moderate incomes. It supports expanded economic opportunities, housing, and suitable living environments through projects that benefit low- and moderate-income individuals, prevent or eliminate slums or blight, or address urgent threats to community health or welfare.
Supported work includes final design or construction of public water and wastewater infrastructure, community facilities, regional rehabilitation of occupied single-family housing, and training for microenterprise owners and people developing microenterprises. Community facilities can include libraries, Head Start centers, emergency and homeless shelters, transitional housing, shelters and workshops for people with disabilities, nonprofit health clinics, drug and alcohol treatment centers, and senior centers.
