Description
The Mississippi Development Authority’s CDBG Economic Development Program funds publicly owned infrastructure that helps businesses locate, expand, or remain in Mississippi communities. The infrastructure must be directly related to industrial construction, renovation, or expansion. The program connects local infrastructure improvements with the creation or retention of better-paying private-sector jobs.
As a federal Community Development Block Grant program, funded activities must also meet a national objective: benefit low- and moderate-income people, prevent or eliminate slums or blight, or address an urgent need arising from a serious and immediate threat to community health or welfare when other financial resources are unavailable.
