Description
The Mississippi Development Authority’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Facilities Program funds public infrastructure needs in Mississippi municipalities and counties. It focuses on the people served by each project: at least 51% of beneficiaries must be people with low or moderate incomes, as determined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The public facilities application identifies project categories covering water and wastewater improvements; streets, bridges, fire protection, drainage, and accessibility improvements; and public buildings, gas service, and solid waste improvements. The Community Development Bureau provides technical assistance throughout the grant process.
