Description
The Bama Works Fund, established by Dave Matthews Band and administered through the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, provides competitive grants twice annually to support community initiatives. The fund prioritizes projects focused on youth development and wellbeing, essential needs, environmental protection, and the arts and humanities. Grants are available to organizations serving the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Nelson, and Orange. The fund encourages applications from a broad range of organizations, including public and private schools, UVA-related entities, and those with fiscal sponsors. Grants are not awarded to individuals, endowment programs, fundraising events, or annual appeals.
