The Community Engagement Professional Credential is a structured certification program administered by Campus Compact to formally recognize the knowledge, skills, and competencies of professionals in higher education civic and community engagement. Participants earn digital badges by completing asynchronous, cohort-based courses in key competency areas, demonstrating proficiency through coursework and assessment. Full certification requires earning three essential credentials (Community Engagement Fundamentals, Community Partnerships, and Equity & Inclusion) plus two electives, followed by submission of a capstone portfolio reviewed by senior professionals. The program supports professional growth, validates expertise, and advances equity and integrity in community and civic engagement practice.
