Description
The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo’s annual competitive grant process funds nonprofit organizations working within the eight counties of Western New York. Grants are awarded to projects that directly address one of four strategic community goals: (1) achieving racial and ethnic equity, (2) promoting economic mobility through education and workforce readiness, (3) stewarding environmental resources with an emphasis on climate resilience, and (4) enhancing regional vibrancy through architecture, arts, and culture. Projects must align with specific “Solutions” under these goals, such as civic engagement, academic achievement, climate education, or cultural tourism. The process emphasizes data-driven, community-informed, and sustainable impact.
