Description
Community Foundation Grants support tax-exempt nonprofit organizations with programs benefiting residents of Burke County, North Carolina. Administered by the Community Foundation of Burke County (CFBC), the program encourages cooperation and collaboration among organizations without duplicating services. Supported work includes health care access, poverty reduction, transitional employment, housing stability, emergency resilience, youth mentoring, and community facilities and cultural spaces.
For the 2026 Community Grant Cycle, CFBC shifted from many smaller, often partially funded awards to ten $20,000 grants. The change followed listening sessions in which local nonprofit leaders requested larger, more impactful awards. In that cycle, applicants could also request additional support from Burke Charitable Properties for facility-related needs.
