--- ## Description The Community Fund for Carmel Valley (CFCV) is an affiliate fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County dedicated to supporting projects and programs that benefit the Carmel Valley and Cachagua communities. Grants are aimed at building community, improving infrastructure, and meeting local needs, with a focus on community development, youth and senior programming, and resident education, cultural, and historical initiatives. Special consideration is given to organizations addressing basic needs, emergency prevention and response (such as disaster preparedness and fire relief), and those demonstrating strong local support and a viable plan for results. --- ## Due Dates - August 1, 2025: Full application / grant request deadline (2025 cycle) - August 7, 2026: Full application / proposals due (2026 cycle) All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates. --- ## Funding Amount - Total annual funding: $30,000 - Maximum grant per project: up to $4,000 - Number and size of grants may vary based on project impact and available funds --- ## Eligibility Grants will be considered for projects and programs serving the Carmel Valley and Cachagua area (Highway 1 to Cahoon Grade, including Jamesburg). Eligible applicants include: - 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations - Public programs (e.g., schools, parks, public health) - Church-sponsored activities with benefits beyond their own membership - Unincorporated organizations/collaboratives with a fiscal sponsor (must be a 501(c)3) - Only one application per organization (except fiscal sponsors may also apply for their own organization) - Projects must directly benefit Carmel Valley/Cachagua residents **Ineligible requests include:** projects that discriminate, promote religious doctrine, supplant tax-supported services, individual sports teams, fundraising events, endowments, debt payments, pre-award expenses, staff/volunteer conference attendance, research projects, scholarships, or incomplete construction projects. --- ## Application Process 1. **Review the [grant guidelines](https://cfmco.org/app/uploads/2025/05/2025-CFCV-Grant-Guidelines.pdf) and eligibility.** 2. **Prepare required documents** (project budget, financials, fiscal sponsor agreement if applicable). 3. **Contact CFMC staff** with eligibility or application questions. 4. **Submit the application** through the [Online Grants Manager](https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=cfmco). 5.
