Description
The Community Fund for Carmel Valley is an affiliate fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County, founded in 2020 to strengthen local resources and services. It supports projects serving Carmel Valley from Highway 1 to Cahoon Grade, including Cachagua and Jamesburg. Funding supports expansion or refinement of existing programs, new programs with demonstrated potential for impact and sustainability, and unrestricted operating support for organizations with a proven record of community benefit.
The 2026 priorities are community development and infrastructure, expanded youth and senior services, and educational, cultural, and historical programs for residents. Special consideration goes to accessible services located directly in Carmel Valley or Cachagua, basic needs such as food and housing security, and emergency prevention or response, including fire preparedness and neighborhood organizing.
