Description
The Community Fund for Carmel Valley (CFCV), established in 2020 as an affiliate of the Community Foundation for Monterey County, provides annual grants to nonprofit organizations, public programs, and collaborations (with fiscal sponsorship) that serve the Carmel Valley and Cachagua communities. The fund aims to strengthen local infrastructure, build community, and address pressing local needs, with priority given to projects supporting youth and seniors, education, cultural and historical initiatives, and emergency prevention or response (such as wildfire preparedness). Special consideration is given to organizations providing direct local services, addressing food or housing security, and those with strong community support and a clear plan for impact. The fund is designed to support locally based organizations with limited access to other funding sources, where smaller grants can make a significant difference.
