Description
The Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation’s Community Fund Grants support transformational ideas, programs and initiatives that enhance quality of life, address important needs and tackle challenges in the Sioux Falls area. Funding comes from the Community Fund Endowment, supported by unrestricted gifts from donors who entrust the Foundation to direct resources toward local nonprofit work with the potential for significant social impact or meaningful change.
The program supports four kinds of work: launching new services that address unmet needs, strengthening nonprofit infrastructure and long-term sustainability, responding to unexpected financial hardships that threaten essential services, and hosting nonprofit-led community events. Requests begin with a letter of inquiry, and proposals are considered by the Foundation’s Grants Committee.
