Description
Edmonton Community Foundation’s Community Grants program supports locally focused initiatives and practical organizational needs. Organizations identify their own priorities, which may include ongoing or expanded programming, operational costs, capacity building, equipment purchases, or renovations. The program accommodates diverse organizations and projects rather than focusing on one type of activity.
ECF prioritizes applications from organizations serving First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities, racialized communities, and other equity groups facing systemic barriers. It also welcomes eligible charity–nonprofit partnerships advancing equity and inclusion. Staff and volunteer committees of community leaders and sector experts review applications individually and against the applicant pool, considering community fit, inclusive design, impact, and feasibility.
