The Community Grants program, administered by the Meteoritical Society, funds activities and projects that further the Society’s mission to promote meteoritics and planetary science. The program seeks to broaden public awareness of meteorites and space science, introduce these topics to new audiences, and provide opportunities to communities or groups that might otherwise lack access. Preference is given to initiatives that are outside the typical scope of Society or government-funded activities, such as educational programs, public outreach events, conferences, and workshops. Grants are awarded to organized activities or programs rather than to individuals, ensuring a broad and lasting impact.
