Description
The Community Grants Program is the flagship and most inclusive grantmaking initiative of the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois (CFNIL). It funds a wide range of charitable activities designed to address the evolving needs of Northern Illinois communities, with a focus on Boone, Ogle, Stephenson, and Winnebago Counties. Grants are awarded annually to support projects and programs in eight focus areas: Arts & Humanities, Basic Needs & Compassionate Support, Career Pathways, Complementary Education, Dignity & Respect, Health, Sustainable Communities, and Youth & Families. The program supports innovative and collaborative efforts that enhance regional quality of life, foster sustainable impact, and strengthen local nonprofits.
