Description
The New Jersey Department of Health funds the Community Health Worker (CHW) Hub to strengthen the state’s CHW workforce. The Hub works with organizations across New Jersey to continue CHW certification efforts and pursue initiatives that sustain the workforce over time.
In partnership with the department, the Hub also supports and advocates for integrating CHWs into standard healthcare practice. The program connects workforce development with efforts to establish a lasting role for CHWs in healthcare. It is administered through Maternal & Child Health Services as a non-competitive continuation grant for current eligible grantees.
