Description
DuPage Foundation’s signature Community Impact program supports initiatives that improve, enhance, and enrich quality of life for DuPage County residents. Its Seed Sustain Strengthen grantmaking model provides support to community nonprofits, including matching grants that help new organizations build fundraising support and grants for established organizations’ programs.
The program funds health and human services, youth education, workforce development, environmental protection, and animal welfare. Priorities include meeting basic needs and promoting self-sufficiency, supporting at-risk youth outside school, and preparing individuals for jobs needed in DuPage County. Environmental funding supports conservation, restoration, pollution reduction, wildlife protection, and education; animal welfare funding supports domestic animals. Applicants select their issue area based on the proposed program’s content, rather than their organization’s overall mission.
