Description
Community Impact Grants from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County support nonprofit programs that help individuals, families, and households achieve lasting wellbeing and economic mobility. Grounded in a two-generation philosophy, the program prioritizes strategies that intentionally support both children and the adults in their lives. Preference is given to programs that remove barriers for populations facing economic, geographic, identity, age, education, ability, and racial inequities.
Funding spans Community Care, Empowerment and Success, and Belonging and Culture. Priorities include access to healthcare, behavioral health, housing, basic needs, and nutritious food; stronger neighborhoods and support networks; youth leadership, workforce development, and financial stability; and family connections, intergenerational relationships, and access to arts and culture. Funding priorities are informed by the foundation’s Community Indicators Dashboard and may evolve with emerging community needs.
