Description
The Community Infrastructure program, administered by the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA), provides competitive grants to support the development, enhancement, and revitalization of essential community infrastructure across Iowa. This initiative targets projects that improve quality of life, expand public amenities, and foster economic opportunities—especially in communities with significant low- and moderate-income populations. Funding is delivered primarily through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Community Facilities and Pocket Parks programs, supporting a range of projects such as day care centers, senior centers, food pantries, homeless shelters, and small-scale public green spaces.
