Description
The Community Library Enhancement Fund (CLEF) is administered by the Utah State Library Division within the Utah Department of Cultural and Community Engagement. It provides annual payments to certified public libraries to strengthen services for their communities and help supplement local funding. The fund is intended to support improvements that benefit as many people as possible.
Libraries may use CLEF for collection development, such as children’s materials, materials in other languages, and online resources; technology that directly affects the public, such as public computers, catalogs, Wi-Fi, and technology training; and library-hosted programming, including classes, story time, and outreach held on- or off-site.
