Description
The Community Mycologist Award, administered by the Mycological Society of America (MSA) Distinctions Committee, honors individuals with non-traditional academic backgrounds who have made exceptional contributions to the field of mycology or have significantly shared scientific or aesthetic knowledge about fungi with the public. The award emphasizes impact, quality, and long-term commitment to advancing mycology outside of traditional academic or government roles. Only one recipient may be selected each year.
