Description
This Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action (CSA) aims to establish a community of practice that drives coordination and cooperation among key actors in the energy value chain. The goal is to develop, maintain, and share essential tools, technologies, and open-source solutions for data-driven planning, operation, and maintenance of European electricity grids. The action emphasizes knowledge sharing on data analytics, improved EU-wide coordination in planning and simulation tools, and development of innovative, open-source software modules.
Projects funded under this topic are expected to:
- Foster collaboration among grid operators, academia, technology providers, energy suppliers, service providers, and consumer representatives.
- Build and maintain repositories and methodologies for enhanced simulations, forecasting, infrastructure asset management, and decision-making.
- Promote digital innovation, including the use of digital twins and AI-enabled systems.
- Encourage open-source practices and standards across the energy sector.
- Create innovation hubs and showcase targeted cooperation between grid operators and research institutions.
- Contribute to the BRIDGE initiative and actively participate in its activities.
