Description
The Community Parks and Playgrounds Program, administered by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR), provides competitive grants to help restore, expand, or create parks and playgrounds in Maryland's incorporated municipalities and Baltimore City. The program aims to increase access to quality green spaces and recreational opportunities, particularly in older neighborhoods and densely developed areas. Eligible projects include park development, rehabilitation, expansion, playground equipment installation, environmentally oriented recreation areas, trail development, water access, and land acquisition for new parks.
