Description
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks’ Fisheries Division funds the design, construction, repair and enhancement of public fishing ponds in or near Montana communities. Projects must involve a pond-sized waterbody where public angling is a primary purpose. Funding can also support improvements to fishing access or safety when they create or enhance angling opportunities.
The program favors projects that expand youth and family fishing, support angler education or improve amenities for anglers with disabilities. Its goal is to make fishing opportunities available close to where people live.
