The National Lottery Community Fund’s Community Power programme supports local communities to influence and change the places they live, the services they use and the decisions affecting their lives. The funder has committed £100 million over 10 years to community power. Its development phase supports new or existing activities that increase communities’ agency, power and control, while helping shape the broader programme.
The development stage was expected to run from spring 2025 to spring 2026, bringing together 10–15 partners, including smaller community groups and larger or national organisations. Partners work with the funder and one another to understand what increases community power, identify barriers and explore the support and learning needed over the long term. Development-phase applications are closed; the broader Community Power Fund has a separate application cycle and eligibility requirements below.
