Description
The Women’s Foundation of Alabama’s Competitive Grant Cycle invests in innovative, high-impact programs that advance women’s economic opportunity and gender and economic equity across Alabama. The 2026–27 cycle deepens the Foundation’s investments toward its goal of moving 10,000 women into the workforce and onto a path toward economic mobility by 2027. It supports community-rooted work addressing interconnected barriers to employment, including limited access to workforce training and child care.
The program takes a holistic approach through three focus areas. Women+Work supports education, skills training, credentials, critical supports, and public policy initiatives that help women access quality jobs and advance their careers. Women+Leadership supports personal and professional leadership development and women-led solutions. Women+Wellbeing supports programs and policy solutions that help women thrive within and beyond their careers, emphasizing financial, physical, and mental wellness.
