Description
The Community Priorities Fund, managed by the Grand Foundation in collaboration with the Grand County Board of County Commissioners, is designed to address critical community needs in Grand County, Colorado. Established following the passage of the 1A ballot measure in November 2024, the fund utilizes a portion of new lodging tax revenue to support three priority areas: childcare for the local workforce (highest priority), housing, and programs that enhance or improve the visitor experience (such as transportation, park maintenance, and environmental safety).
A dedicated committee oversees the fund, ensuring that at least 30% of the new lodging tax revenue is directed to community needs. The fund operates through an online granting platform, and a portion of the annual revenue is reserved to build sustainability for future investments.
