--- ## Description The Community Service Scholarship recognizes and supports students and professionals who exemplify leadership, excellence, and a commitment to community service. Applicants are required to describe their planned community service program and its relevance to their academic, professional, or personal goals. Recipients are selected based on the relevance and impact of their service program as well as academic achievement, as evaluated by a scholarship review committee. The program is independently administered and aims to encourage meaningful community engagement and leadership. --- ## Due Dates - March 28, 2026: Full application deadline --- ## Funding Amount - Each scholarship award is $1,000. - The number of recipients varies per cycle. - Award is provided as a one-time scholarship; funds are released upon confirmation of enrollment in the described community service program. --- ## Eligibility - Open to all individuals; no restrictions based on location, enrollment status, or field of study. - No purchase or Honor Society membership required to apply or win. - Applicants must be comfortable providing a video and/or written testimonial about their program and the scholarship. - Not open to residents of jurisdictions where such programs are restricted or prohibited by law. - Applicants must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. --- ## Application Process 1. Complete the online application form on the [Honor Society scholarship portal](https://honorsociety.org/community-service-scholarship-0). 2. Submit a description of your planned community service program, including dates. 3. Provide up to 500 words describing the program’s relevance to your major, life, or goals. 4. Attach a current transcript (unofficial transcripts are accepted for application; official transcripts required if selected). 5. Complete your Honor Society profile and upload a headshot. 6. Application is reviewed and scored by a scholarship committee based on relevance and academic achievement. In case of a tie, the winner is selected at random. 7.
