Description
The City of Steamboat Springs Community Support Funding program supports organizations that offer or augment municipal services and advance City Council’s mission, vision, and values. City Council allocates funding annually among three coalitions: Arts & Culture, Environmental, and Human Resource. Yampa Valley Community Foundation serves on the steering committee and administers the Arts & Culture and Environmental applications. Human Resource grants draw on both city and county funds.
Funding supports general operations or specific programs addressing genuine community needs. Coalition selection committees rank requests using city-provided criteria, including measurable positive impact, meaningful collaboration, organizational stability, diversified funding, and financial health. Applicants are expected to provide quantitative or qualitative evidence showing how their work benefits the community.
