Description
This grant program, administered by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture Division of Forestry as part of the Tennessee Agricultural Enhancement Program (TAEP), funds community tree planting projects throughout Tennessee. The primary goal is to expand the urban tree canopy to deliver functional benefits such as energy savings, storm water mitigation, and improved air quality. Projects focused solely on beautification are not eligible; instead, proposals must demonstrate the direct environmental and cost-saving advantages of tree planting.
