Description
The Community Vitality Grant is offered by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development through its Virginia Main Street program. It helps Main Street communities and organizations carry out unique, one-time projects that build momentum toward downtown revitalization goals and create lasting benefits in historic downtowns or neighborhood commercial districts.
Projects may address design, wayfinding, organizational development, strategic planning, market studies, entrepreneur support, economic vitality, or consultant services. Virginia Main Street follows the Main Street Approach, a preservation-based strategy for strengthening historic commercial districts.
