The Community Wealth Fund supports community-led change in disadvantaged areas across England. Delivered and managed by the National Lottery Community Fund, it helps residents improve local services and facilities, reduce inequality and bring communities closer together. One organisation in each eligible area will manage the funding and help residents decide how it should be invested.
Successful organisations will act as community anchors: building trust, understanding local needs, establishing community decision-making structures and supporting trusted local leaders. Their work includes identifying training needs, supporting project delivery, bringing residents and partners together, and planning for sustainability. Residents will set priorities and collectively decide investments, which could include new community spaces or youth programmes.
