Description
The American Society for Cell Biology’s Committee for Postdocs and Students (COMPASS) offers Outreach Grants to help members bring science to the public. Supported activities include student lab visits, science fairs, and other community outreach events that communicate scientific concepts and give curious audiences access to scientists.
The program encourages researchers to explain complex ideas in accessible ways, engage people from different backgrounds, and build connections across disciplines, identities, and career stages within and outside science. Proposals describe the intended audience, community benefit, and message participants should take away. Featured outreach projects include activities helping students create cell biology-inspired art.
