Description
The Community Foundation for Crawford County’s Competitive Grants Program supports nonprofit work responding to the needs and interests of county residents. Income from the Crawford Impact Fund, the Foundation’s unrestricted fund, supports new projects addressing defined community needs, needed human services programs, and worthwhile community projects that generate additional funding. The program also supports qualifying preschools and school projects intended for building-wide or system-wide use, or benefiting a broad spectrum of students.
The Foundation emphasizes collaboration and Collective Impact. Since its second grant cycle in 2022, it has partnered with United Way of North Central Ohio to better align grantmaking processes and goals. Results-Based Accountability (RBA), a data-driven approach that starts with desired results and works backward toward action, guides the program’s application and evaluation processes.
