Description
Comprehensive Community Action Program (CCAP) offers a statewide opportunity for young people ages 14–24 through Real Skills for Youth, a PrepareRI initiative supported by Rhode Island’s Governor’s Workforce Board. The program helps participants choose a paid work-based learning placement that fits their interests and goals, while building employment, life, and money-management skills.
Participants can attend online morning or afternoon training sessions and receive one-on-one support when needed. Career pathways listed for 2026 include welding for sculpture, electrical technology, graphic communications, medical fields, construction, cosmetology, and placements with employer partners. The opportunity connects career exploration and practical training with experience in the workplace.
