Description
This program provides funding to HUD-approved housing counseling agencies and nonprofit organizations to deliver counseling and advice to tenants and homeowners. The goal is to help clients maintain and improve their housing, enhance financial management and literacy, and support sustainable homeownership or affordable rental housing. The program also funds training for housing counselors nationwide. These services play a critical role in preventing housing scams and discrimination, and connecting clients to local, state, federal, and private housing resources.
