    Description

    The Computing and Mathematical Sciences (CMS) Department at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) invites applications for postdoctoral researcher positions in computational mathematics and applications. The department offers a collaborative environment focused on foundational and interdisciplinary research in applied mathematics and allied fields. Research areas include, but are not limited to, mathematics of data science, numerical analysis, optimization, probability, scientific computing, signal processing, and uncertainty quantification. Applicants whose work demonstrates strong connections between computational mathematics and applications in science and engineering are especially encouraged to apply.

    As part of their postdoctoral training, scholars may also have the opportunity to teach a course with departmental approval.
