The Connect Kids to Parks Field Trip Grant Program helps New York children in pre-K through grade 12 engage with nature, outdoor recreation, and history. Administered by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, it offsets eligible costs of trips to parks, historic sites, and other specified public destinations. The program is funded through the Environmental Protection Fund.
A qualifying field trip is an excursion by children under an applicant’s care to meaningfully use a destination’s recreational and educational resources during operating hours. The grant reimburses costs after the applicant has taken and paid for the trip; it may not cover the full transportation expense.
