Description
Connected Communities is Central Carolina Community Foundation’s challenge grant program for innovative projects that make the Midlands more vibrant, welcoming and connected. It supports new initiatives and expansions that increase residents’ community attachment, satisfaction and access to resources and experiences that improve everyday life.
Projects may address safe places to live and work, health care facilities and services, quality jobs, affordable housing, safe and accessible recreation, or arts and cultural experiences. The foundation seeks creative approaches that increase community engagement, demonstrate measurable impact and inspire philanthropy. The grant guidelines also prioritize equity, policy and advocacy, institutional or systems change, and social justice. Organizations outside Richland County and organizations led by Black, Indigenous and people of color are encouraged to apply.
