Description
The Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) program, administered by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, provides competitive grants to support the enhancement and protection of Iowa’s natural and cultural resources. Funding is available for a wide range of projects including outdoor recreation development, conservation initiatives, land acquisition, environmental education, roadside vegetation management, and historic preservation. Through several grant tracks—such as City Parks & Open Spaces and the Conservation Education Program (CEP)—REAP empowers cities, counties, private organizations, and individuals to undertake impactful projects that preserve Iowa’s environmental and cultural heritage.
