Description
The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC) Conservation Education Small Grant Program supports forestry and natural resource education for pre-K through 12th-grade students and their educators. Activities may take place in classrooms or outdoor settings, within structured curricula or through informal learning opportunities. The program seeks meaningful natural resource learning experiences for youth and stronger capacity among professionals, volunteers, and organizations delivering conservation education.
Supported work includes outdoor youth education, facilitator training, and professional development in conservation education. Funding can cover facilitation, meeting space, refreshments, other educational event expenses, and travel and registration for relevant training. Proposals with a forestry component generally receive priority.
