Description
The New Hampshire State Conservation Committee runs this annual competitive program with funding from Conservation and Heritage License Plates, known as Moose Plates. It supports projects and partnerships that protect, restore, and enhance New Hampshire’s natural resources. Conservation Projects address water, wildlife habitat, soil and flooding, best management practices, or conservation planning. Land Conservation Projects permanently protect property through a conservation easement or fee acquisition or donation, including associated transaction and stewardship costs.
Conservation Projects are intended to produce on-the-ground results. Planning and design are eligible, but project costs should primarily support implementation. Projects with a long-term stewardship perspective receive priority.
