The Religious Research Association (RRA) offers the Constant H. Jacquet Research Award annually to support research on religion using social scientific methods and perspectives. The competition welcomes research on any aspect of religion, including applied, client-centered projects, with preference given to applied work. Every proposal must explain the research’s applicability to religious organizations, leaders, and/or practitioners, connecting social scientific inquiry with religious organizational life and practice.
Students, particularly Ph.D. candidates, and scholars in the early stages of their careers are especially encouraged to apply. RRA aims to fund at least one student project each year. Awards support research expenses rather than supplemental income, capital equipment, or institutional indirect expenses.
