Description
The Medical Library Association (MLA) Continuing Education Grant supports professional learning that develops members’ knowledge of the theoretical, administrative, or technical aspects of librarianship. It funds continuing education relevant to the library work an applicant currently performs, including MLA opportunities offered through MEDLIB-ED and other continuing education activities.
The program supports professional development and activities in medical information services. Proposed study should have a defined scope, level, duration, and budget, with a clear connection to the applicant’s career objectives. The grant is not intended to fund work toward a degree or certificate, although complementary coursework outside a candidate’s normal professional curriculum may be considered. Awards are reviewed annually, and more than one grant may be awarded.
