Description
The Medical Library Association (MLA) Continuing Education Grant supports members seeking to develop their knowledge of the theoretical, administrative, or technical aspects of librarianship. It is a professional development opportunity for practicing health sciences librarians, with the proposed course of study expected to relate to the library work in which the applicant is currently engaged.
The grant can support MLA learning opportunities offered through MEDLIB-ED or other continuing education activities. Supported activities must take place within the United States or Canada. The program focuses on professional learning rather than work toward a degree or certificate, although complementary coursework outside a candidate’s normal professional curriculum may be considered.
