    Description

    The National Institutes of Health (NIH), through the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), anticipates soliciting applications for a Coordinating Center for the National Human Ear Resource Network. This Center will serve as the central hub supporting auditory and vestibular research utilizing human inner and middle ear tissues. The Coordinating Center is expected to:

    • Organize and chair regular meetings among Network laboratories.
    • Work closely with NIDCD staff to disseminate information about Network activities.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration within the Network and with external laboratories nationwide.
    • Expand the use of human temporal bones in auditory and vestibular research.
