Description
The Core Assistance Fund (CAF) is sponsored by UCSF’s Research Resource Program to enhance the operations of campus cores and shared resources. The program provides targeted funding for the acquisition of support equipment, reagent purchases for developing new services, upgrades, repairs, and other items that cannot be placed on recharge. The goal is to improve efficiency, address unexpected costs, and promote operational changes that lead to long-term sustainability. Funding is prioritized for proposals that demonstrate significant benefit to the UCSF research community, foster collaboration and sharing, and enable high scientific impact.
