Description
The Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research’s Pilot Program offers this rapid-cycle award to help investigators use Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) core facilities for translational science, particularly clinical research. Institutional or departmental cores, individually or together, can support cellular and molecular analysis of pre-clinical or clinical samples, including for investigators without dedicated laboratory resources.
Projects should address an innovative question using previously collected biospecimens. The program seeks findings that could support future funding and advances in patient care, as well as approaches that could change how biospecimens are analyzed in future studies. Priority goes to clinical researchers collaborating with CUIMC cores on state-of-the-art analysis of human biospecimens.
