    Description

The Core-to-Core Program, administered by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), aims to establish world-class research centers through long-term, multilateral partnerships between Japanese and overseas research institutions. The program is structured around two components:

    • Advanced Research Networks: Emphasizes cutting-edge, internationally significant research in all academic fields.
    • Asia-Africa Science Platforms: Focuses on research areas of special importance to Asia and/or Africa.

Both components prioritize the development of core research and education hubs and the training of the next generation of innovative young researchers. Projects typically involve joint research, seminars, and researcher exchanges, and require strong institutional collaboration and commitment from both Japanese and international partners.
