--- ## Description This scholarship recognizes individuals who best embody the core values of the Honor Society. Applicants are invited to reflect on and demonstrate how they exemplify one or more of these values—such as excellence, leadership, humility, and innovation—through a short essay. The award aims to support students who not only excel academically but also demonstrate integrity, growth, and positive impact in their communities. --- ## Due Dates - **Priority deadline:** September 28, 2025 - **Rolling monthly deadlines:** Applications are accepted and reviewed on a monthly basis; early submissions increase the likelihood of selection. - Recipients are typically notified within 3 weeks of the application deadline, with public announcements made within 6 weeks. --- ## Funding Amount - **Award amount:** $1,000 per recipient - **Disbursement:** Single payment upon verification of eligibility and submission of required documentation - Applications remain active for up to 3 months after submission, and students may reapply with an updated application after that period. --- ## Eligibility - **Open to all students.** There are no restrictions based on major, year, or institution. - Applicants must be comfortable providing a video and/or written testimonial if selected. - No purchase or Honor Society membership is required to apply. --- ## Application Process - **Submit an online application** through the [Honor Society Core Values Scholarship page](https://www.honorsociety.org/core-values-scholarship-0). - **Requirements:** - Complete your Honor Society profile and upload a headshot. - Write an essay (up to 500 words) describing how you embody a specific core value and its relevance to your life or goals. - Indicate which core value you consider your greatest strength and which is your greatest weakness, with explanations. - Provide your current GPA and upload an unofficial transcript (official transcript required upon selection). - Include school name and contact information. - **Selection criteria:** Academic achievement (GPA, honors, awards), leadership, community service, and quality of essay. If there is a tie, the winner is chosen at random among tied applicants. --- ## Additional Information - Applications are highly competitive and reviewed using a rubric considering both academic and holistic factors. - Applications are considered for up to 3 months after submission.
